Activities of the Ege University EU FP6 Coordination Office

 

  • Ege University EBILTEM FP6 Regional Contact Point Prof. Dr. Fazilet Vardar Sukan is at the same time a National Delegate, FP6 ‘Science and Society’ Theme.
  • 34 seminars and info-days, 5 workshops were organized for the Western Anatolian Region so far. One of those info-days was national.
  • On each thematic priority area, a mailing list was set up covering 15 universities and numerous SMEs and industrial associations in the region.
  • Small booklets and brochures about FP6 were published and distributed amongst industry as well as 82 Turkish universities for information.
  • An Open Hour is being held every Friday lunch time to accommodate specific questions from academicians and industry.
  • A web site for regional info on FP6 has been designed.
  • Every week a column in a weekly regional newspaper is being prepared covering “Frequently Asked Questions about FP6”.
  • Approximately 41 proposals have been prepared and submitted from Ege University and 14 projects have been approved by the EU.
  • “ Aegean Region Innovation Relay Center” (IRC-EGE), FP6-SSA Project, 2004–2008, is active as of May 2004 under EBILTEM’s Coordination.
  • EBILTEM is the Turkish partner of the “REGinNet” Project (Regional approach towards FP6. Network of contact points in large Accession Candidate Countries and Member States), FP6-SSA project, 2004-2006.
  • EBILTEM is the Turkish partner of the “FISh” Project (Facilitating Innovation for Sustainable Fisheries and Marine Resources), FP6-ETI project, 2004-2006.
  • EBILTEM is the Turkish partner of the “STAR-NET” Project (Support to Associated Countries and New Member States), FP6-SSA project, 2004 -mid-2007.
  • In the framework of the “TR-MONET” Project (Turkish Mobility Network) one of the 6 Mobility Centers was established in EBÝLTEM.
  • EBÝLTEM has been selected for the “IST MENTOR+” Project two-stage training and participated in the workshop for the preparation of multipliers in IST field.
